Usually a cock ring is not supposed to be worn for long periods of time. I know the ones I have came with warnings that indicated that. I don't know what they define as long periods of time.
An alternative to this would be buying a brief or thong that has a built in cockring. I have a thong made by Go Softwear that has a cockring (cloth/elastic) built into it. There are also many briefs that bring you right into the front now to enhance your package. I would think something like that would be a lot more comfortable than wearing a metal one for a long time.

I think the idea of not wearing a cockring for long periods is that it can cause damage to the penis, keeping the blood in there so long.

That's right, the cockrings are like a tournequet. Many specify 20-30 minute limits on wearing them, because the circulation is impaired. There is at least one horror story (perhaps an urban legend?) that a guy wore one for several days, his penis turned black, and at the ER they had to surgically remove his dead member! Believe it or not. I wouldn't recommend wearing one for much longer than one good bout.

I wear my metal cock ring all day long on a regular basis. The time limit warnings refer to having an erection. I am much more comfortable wearing a ring then any Undies with built in ones.

As far as finding what size is best for you I reccomend trying a few different sizes of the cheap metal ones they sell in the porn shops usually under $5. I have heard you can find them in hardware stores even cheaper but have never looked for them there. I tried regular "O" rings until i found the right size for me. I cant say I have any rings. They always look to uncomfortable to me. I think you would have to make sure you got the right size

I found my 2.5 inch brass and steel rings at SEARS hardware. They also sell them at Home Depot. There alot less expensive than the sex noelty sites or stores. I had the steel ones chromed. They look great.

I for one am glad the feature is catching on! I've never tried a real c-ring, and I'm not sure I want to. Of the brands that I've tried, N2N and Joe Snyder seem to work best for me.

I really want to try the Andrew Christian's version, called Show-it 2.0, as well as Aussibum's Wonderjock. But I agree that the pricing gives me pause, because if I buy just one, I'll want more!
